HBO and Cinemax channels on g1-100 thru 143 have been experiencing lower than normal signal levels. This is a power related problem at the HBO uplink site. NPS has been in close contact with HBO engineers, in an attempt to get this issue resolved. Customers with dishes smaller than 10 feet, will have a harder time locking these channels in. We do not have a timeframe for the resolution of this problem.

Additional update regarding CBS Atlanta and Fox Denver (added to chat transcript 3/17/09):
We are still looking into the situations with CBS Atlanta audio drop outs and the Fox Denver volume. However, our engineer reports, "The closed captioning issue on NBC is subject to the programming content. There are two different CC standards, 608 for analog and 708 for digital. The old DCII systems has a problem with the 708 captions and the NBC station flips between the two formats making it impossible for us to get 7x24 captions."
This, unfortunately, is out of our control.
3-10-09
ESPN Classics is being moved from C4-400 to W5-747 as part of the HITS consolidation of their multiple channels onto fewer satellites for improved efficiency. Both channels are being dual illuminated for a few weeks, so you should be able to receive it on W5 now if you subscribe to the channel. Please note, you may need to remap or get an on-line rehit in order to view the channel.
3-2-09
The Sundance Channel recently moved from GO-117 and C3-117 to W5-254.
Also, Bravo West and History West recently relocated from C4-710 to W5-740 and from C4-610 to W5-745. These changes are being initiated by the HITS company in order to further consolidate the channels onto fewer satellites for improved efficiency on the newer W5 satellite.
NPS customers who currently subscribe to Sundance, Bravo West, and/or History West may need to do an online rehit in order to view the channels at their new locations. For help programming W5 into your 4DTV, please review the instructions on our web site at http://www.callnps.com/w5.htm.

If you are unable to receive those channel numbers but are able to access other channels on G3, then you will need to remap. If you are able to receive the channel numbers but see a message instructing you to contact your program provider because you are not authorized, then you will need a rehit.
We will keep you updated on any further information.

On or around January 1, 2009, a percentage of our customers could be affected by the loss of transmission of analog signals. We are working diligently to get the Turner channels moved to Satellite G3 before this happens, but due to staffing issues at Motorola, this may be delayed, although right now everything is looking good. As for the Weather Channel, we are still waiting for the completed contract.
We have been trying to get the channel transitioned to digital before the end of the year, however it may be a few days more.
We are doing everything possible to make this transition as seamless as possible to our customers. Please check back with our website for complete channel updates as they occur.
We thank you for your patience and your support of C-Band, still the best programming delivery system.
